Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and discreet Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of a serene wellness center in Ville-Marie, Montreal. This is an evening position designed for an individual who thrives in a quiet environment and takes pride in meticulous work. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our facility remains a pristine and welcoming space for our clients, contributing to their overall experience of tranquility and well-being. This role requires an independent worker who is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting of all assigned areas.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, treatment rooms, and common areas to the highest standards.
- Empty and clean trash receptacles and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
- Restock all necessary supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, and soap.
- Wipe down and disinfect surfaces, including counters, tables, and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of all flooring surfaces, including polishing and buffing as required.
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and notify management when reordering is necessary.
- Adhere strictly to all safety and sanitation protocols and procedures.
- Operate and maintain cleaning equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform duties during evening hours with minimal supervision, ensuring a quiet and undisturbed environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning.
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffers, vacuum cleaners).
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and proper safety procedures.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring bending, lifting, and prolonged standing.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience cleaning in a healthcare, spa, or wellness center environment.
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
