Job Description
Are you passionate about guiding individuals towards their highest potential? Do you possess a unique ability to inspire visionary thinking and strategic future planning? BetterUp is seeking a dedicated WFH Future Self Mentor with a strong focus on Visionary Planning. This role involves working one-on-one with members to help them define, articulate, and strategize their ideal future selves, both professionally and personally. You will leverage advanced coaching methodologies and BetterUp’s proprietary tools to facilitate deep self-reflection, goal setting, and action planning, empowering members to bridge the gap between their current reality and their envisioned future. This is a 100% remote position, allowing you to make a significant impact from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual coaching sessions with members focusing on future self-identification and visionary planning.
- Guide members through exercises and reflections to clarify long-term goals and aspirations.
- Develop personalized action plans and strategies to help members achieve their future self visions.
- Provide constructive feedback and accountability to support members' progress and commitment.
- Utilize BetterUp's platform to track member progress, insights, and engagement.
- Stay current with best practices in coaching, positive psychology, and future-oriented goal setting.
- Collaborate with the BetterUp mentor community to share insights and refine coaching approaches.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training provided by BetterUp.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in coaching, mentoring, or counseling, particularly in future planning or goal setting.
- Exceptional active listening and empathic communication skills.
- Strong ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge individuals towards growth.
- Proficiency in virtual communication and collaboration tools (e.g., video conferencing, online platforms).
- Deep understanding of positive psychology principles and growth mindset.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Coaching, Organizational Psychology).
- ICF (International Coaching Federation) certification or equivalent (e.g., EMCC, BCC).
- Experience working with professionals in diverse industries and at various career stages.
- Familiarity with digital coaching platforms and analytics for tracking client progress.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops or group coaching sessions focused on future visioning.
