Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and highly accurate WFH Interview Transcriber with a strong focus on academic and media content. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for transcribing interviews, lectures, podcasts, and other audio content for our diverse client base, which includes leading universities, research institutions, and media organizations. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional listening skills, an acute attention to detail, and a solid understanding of grammar and punctuation, particularly within complex academic and media contexts. Key Responsibilities
- Transcribe audio and video recordings of interviews, discussions, lectures, and media content with high accuracy and speed.
- Ensure strict adherence to Rev.com's style guides and client-specific requirements, especially for academic and media projects.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to eliminate errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and formatting.
- Manage time effectively to meet strict deadlines for various projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security for all sensitive client information.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to continuously improve transcription quality.
- Identify and escalate unclear audio segments or other issues that may impact transcript accuracy.
Required Skills
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Proven ability to transcribe accurately and efficiently from various audio qualities.
- Strong listening skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with transcription software and word processing tools.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet home office environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in transcribing academic research interviews, focus groups, or dissertations.
