Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Work From Home Curriculum Developer to join our dynamic team. In this 100% remote role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and revising engaging and effective lesson plans and educational content across various subjects and platforms. This position requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, an ability to write clear and concise educational materials, and a commitment to creating high-quality learning experiences for diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop comprehensive lesson plans, learning objectives, activities, and assessments aligned with educational standards and desired outcomes.
- Conduct thorough research on subject matter to ensure accuracy, relevance, and currency of content.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and multimedia specialists to integrate various components into cohesive learning modules.
- Write, edit, and proofread educational materials, ensuring clarity, pedagogical soundness, and adherence to style guides.
- Review and revise existing curriculum materials based on feedback, performance data, and evolving educational best practices.
- Ensure all developed content is accessible and inclusive for diverse learner populations.
- Stay informed about current trends and innovations in education technology and instructional design.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design, or educational content creation.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Strong understanding of pedagogical principles and learning theories.
- Proficiency in using common authoring tools and learning management systems (LMS).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, English, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
- Experience with adult learning principles and corporate training programs.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) for digital content.
- Experience developing curriculum for K-12, higher education, or professional development.
- Portfolio demonstrating successful curriculum development projects.
