Job Description
We are seeking diligent and efficient Distribution Pickers to join our dynamic team, supporting our North West Distribution Hubs located in Liverpool and Manchester. While this recruitment is based out of our King’s Lynn facility, successful candidates will be integral to the operations at our key North West sites. This role involves accurately and efficiently picking and packing a variety of goods, ensuring orders are prepared for dispatch according to strict timelines and quality standards. You will play a crucial part in maintaining the smooth flow of goods through our distribution network, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack products according to order sheets and established procedures.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks, pump trucks) safely and efficiently.
- Verify product quantities, quality, and condition before packing.
- Ensure all picked items are correctly labeled and prepared for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to meet operational goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to read and understand order sheets and inventory documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move packages up to 25kg repeatedly.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
- Experience operating MHE (Material Handling Equipment) such as counterbalance or reach trucks (certification a plus).
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Understanding of health and safety standards in a warehouse setting.
