Job Description

PureGym is seeking enthusiastic individuals for our Gym Instructor Trainee program in Guildford. This is an incredible entry-level opportunity designed for those with little to no prior experience, offering a comprehensive pathway to becoming a qualified Gym Instructor. Key Responsibilities
- Shadow and assist qualified Gym Instructors in their daily duties, learning best practices for member engagement and gym operations.
- Participate actively in all training modules, workshops, and mentorship sessions to develop a strong understanding of fitness principles, equipment usage, and safety protocols.
- Learn to confidently interact with members, providing basic assistance with gym equipment and promoting a positive gym environment.
- Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the gym floor and equipment, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for all members.
- Develop customer service skills by addressing member queries and escalating complex issues to senior staff.
- Understand and adhere to all company policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Take initiative to learn about PureGym's products, services, and membership options to effectively inform members.
Required Skills
- A genuine passion for health and fitness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow within the fitness industry.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Reliability and punctuality.
- Must be 18 years or older.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of gym equipment and exercises.
- Previous experience in a customer service role.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon commencement).
