Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Education Admin Assistant to support our administrative team with a focus on school and university-related operations. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our offices. This role involves managing communications, scheduling, data entry, and assisting staff, students, and parents with inquiries. You will play a crucial role in maintaining an orderly and productive environment, contributing to the overall success of our educational programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain administrative records, databases, and filing systems for school and university-related documentation.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and events, including scheduling, room setup, and preparing materials.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries, directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
- Assist with student registration processes, record updates, and academic support services.
- Handle office supply inventory, ordering, and equipment maintenance.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documentation as required.
- Support faculty and staff with various administrative tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Customer service-oriented approach with a professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher in Business Administration, Education, or a related field
- Previous administrative experience in an educational setting (school district, university, or similar)
- Familiarity with student information systems (e.g., Skyward, PowerSchool)
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a plus
