Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and organized Factory Floor Admin with a strong focus on Production Support to join our manufacturing team in Greensboro. In this vital role, you will be the backbone of our production operations, ensuring smooth administrative processes that directly contribute to our factory’s efficiency and output. You will handle a variety of tasks, from data management and inventory tracking to coordinating with different departments and supporting production scheduling. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain production records, including output, downtime, and quality control data.
- Assist in scheduling production shifts, breaks, and machinery maintenance, communicating effectively with floor staff.
- Coordinate the ordering and tracking of raw materials and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels to prevent delays.
- Prepare and distribute production reports, summaries, and presentations to management and relevant teams.
- Serve as the primary administrative point of contact for factory floor personnel, addressing inquiries and providing support.
- Facilitate internal communication between the production floor, supply chain, quality assurance, and human resources departments.
- Support compliance with safety regulations and company policies by assisting with documentation and training coordination.
- Utilize enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for data entry and information retrieval related to production.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for administrative efficiency.
- Handle general office duties, including filing, correspondence, and record-keeping for the production department.
Required Skills
- Proven administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for data management and communication.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact clearly with all levels of staff.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to supporting operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or other manufacturing execution systems (MES).
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles or production support processes.
- Experience with inventory management and supply chain logistics in a factory context.
