Job Description
Join Encore Global as a Corporate Event AV Setup Crew member! This dynamic role involves setting up, operating, and dismantling audio-visual equipment for corporate events, conferences, and meetings held in various hotel and convention center venues. You will be a crucial part of our team, ensuring seamless execution of events by delivering top-tier AV services. This position requires regular travel within Weyburn and potentially to nearby regions, offering a diverse and exciting work environment where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport, set up, operate, and dismantle audio, video, lighting, and presentation equipment for corporate events.
- Perform routine technical checks and troubleshoot equipment issues on-site to ensure flawless event execution.
- Collaborate effectively with event planners, venue staff, and other crew members to meet client specifications and deadlines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines during equipment handling and event setup.
- Provide basic technical support and assistance to presenters and event attendees as needed.
- Maintain inventory, cleanliness, and proper storage of all AV equipment.
- Travel to various event locations, including hotels and conference centers, often requiring flexible hours and weekend availability.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Basic knowledge of audio, video, and lighting equipment principles.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) regularly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interaction.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in an AV setup, production, or related technical role.
- Post-secondary education or certification in audiovisual technology, live event production, or a related field.
- Experience with major AV brands and control systems (e.g., Crestron, Barco, Shure).
- Customer service experience in a fast-paced environment.
