Job Description

Cisco Systems is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Technical Support Scribe to join our remote Level 1 IT team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in documenting technical interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions, ensuring clear and accurate records for our support processes. This position is ideal for individuals with strong communication skills, an aptitude for technology, and a desire to kickstart a career in IT support in a remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately document user issues, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in our ticketing system.
  • Transcribe live technical support interactions, ensuring all relevant details are captured precisely.
  • Assist Level 1 IT technicians by maintaining comprehensive incident logs and knowledge base articles.
  • Organize and categorize technical documentation for easy retrieval and future reference.
  • Collaborate with the IT support team to refine documentation standards and processes.
  • Perform quality checks on existing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and data integrity in all documentation tasks.

Required Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using documentation tools and ticketing systems.
  • Basic understanding of common IT terminology and concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.

  • Prior experience in a data entry, administrative, or secretarial role.
