Job Description
Are you passionate about games and eager to kickstart your career in production? Microsoft’s Xbox team is seeking a highly motivated Junior Game Producer to join our creative career path. In this role, you will work closely with experienced producers and development teams, assisting in the coordination, planning, and execution of game development projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior producers in project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress against established milestones.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, meetings, and reviews, ensuring clear communication and actionable outcomes.
- Help maintain project documentation, including design specifications, sprint backlogs, and status reports.
- Support development teams by identifying and helping to resolve blockers and dependencies.
- Collaborate with art, design, engineering, and QA teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Contribute to fostering a positive, collaborative, and productive team culture.
- Participate in playtesting and provide constructive feedback on game builds.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated passion for video games and understanding of the game development lifecycle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic understanding of project management principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Business, Communications, Computer Science, Game Design).
- Previous experience in a project coordination, administrative, or team lead role (e.g., volunteer, academic project, or internship).
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello).
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine) or game modding.
