Job Description
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Hospital Porters to join our essential team at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. As a vital part of our healthcare environment, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of patients, equipment, samples, and supplies throughout the hospital. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced setting. Your contribution will directly impact patient care and the operational efficiency of our services. Key Responsibilities
- Transporting patients via beds, trolleys, and wheelchairs between wards, departments, and clinic areas.
- Collecting and delivering medical records, samples, specimens, and pharmacy items.
- Moving equipment, furniture, and supplies around the hospital as required.
- Assisting with the safe movement of deceased patients to the mortuary.
- Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of transport equipment.
- Responding to emergency calls and assisting clinical staff when necessary.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and hospital policies.
- Providing compassionate and respectful service to patients and their families.
Required Skills
