Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Fintech Software Developer to join our innovative team in Chicago. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain robust and scalable software solutions for financial applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and other engineers, to define, design, and ship new features.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code in modern programming languages.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely resolutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes and tools.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices in Fintech and software development.
- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of applications.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Node.js, C#).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API design (RESTful, GraphQL).
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to write efficient, scalable code.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience specifically within the financial services or Fintech industry.
- Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) for full-stack developers.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
- Experience with distributed systems and high-transaction environments.
