Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bank Teller to join our team in Green Bay. This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service, handling financial transactions accurately, and upholding our commitment to a safe and secure banking environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a meticulous approach to cash handling, and a proactive mindset towards maintaining security protocols. You will be the front-line face of Associated Bank, ensuring every customer interaction is positive, efficient, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and cashing checks, while adhering to all bank policies and procedures.
  • Maintain strict security protocols for cash handling and transaction processing to ensure the safety of assets and information.
  • Identify and escalate suspicious activities or transactions in accordance with anti-money laundering (AML) and 'know your customer' (KYC) regulations.
  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding their accounts and bank services, providing knowledgeable and courteous support.
  • Promote bank products and services to customers, identifying opportunities to cross-sell where appropriate.
  • Balance cash drawer at the end of each shift with precision and report any discrepancies promptly.
  • Operate banking software and equipment, including coin counters, currency counters, and ATMs.
  • Educate customers on self-service options and digital banking tools to enhance their banking experience.
  • Adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements and internal bank policies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to contribute to a professional branch environment.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of experience in cash handling or customer service roles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all transactions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security protocols

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a bank teller or in a financial institution
  • Associates degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • Knowledge of banking products and services
  • Experience with anti-money laundering (AML) and 'know your customer' (KYC) procedures
