Job Description
Concentrix is seeking a dedicated and meticulous Digital Archivist with a strong focus on historical data to join our innovative team. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while contributing to meaningful projects.
As a Digital Archivist, you will be instrumental in preserving, organizing, and ensuring the long-term accessibility of Concentrix’s valuable historical digital assets. Your work will directly support various departments by providing crucial access to our legacy data, enabling informed decision-making and safeguarding our institutional memory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive digital preservation strategies for historical data, ensuring long-term accessibility and integrity.
- Catalog, index, and organize diverse digital assets, applying industry-standard metadata schemas (e.g., Dublin Core, MODS, EAD).
- Ensure the security, authenticity, and integrity of all archived digital materials through robust practices and systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to identify, acquire, and ingest historical digital content from various sources.
- Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot archival systems and databases, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.
- Provide efficient access and retrieval services for historical data requests from internal stakeholders and authorized external parties.
- Monitor and adapt to evolving digital archiving technologies, best practices, and legal/ethical considerations in the field.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to digital asset management and historical data preservation.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (4+ years) in digital archiving, records management, or a related information management role.
- Strong understanding and practical application of metadata standards and controlled vocabularies.
- Proficiency with archival software, digital asset management (DAM) systems, and content management systems (CMS).
- Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a methodical approach to data handling.
- In-depth knowledge of digital preservation principles, file formats, and strategies for long-term digital access.
- Familiarity with historical research methodologies and the lifecycle of historical information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information clearly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Library Science, Archival Studies, Information Science, or a closely related field.
- Experience with large-scale data migration projects and digital repository implementation.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and compliance requirements.
- Professional certification in digital preservation (e.g., CDAP, DAS).
- Experience working with diverse historical data types, including multimedia, databases, and structured/unstructured content.
