Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Knowledge Graph Associate with a strong data focus to join our remote team. In this role, you will be instrumental in expanding, refining, and maintaining the accuracy of Microsoft’s Knowledge Graph, which underpins critical AI and search experiences across our products. This position requires a passion for data quality, an understanding of structured data principles, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment. You will contribute to the integrity and richness of data that powers intelligent features for millions of users worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, collect, and validate diverse data sources for integration into the Knowledge Graph.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, and cleansing to ensure consistency and adherence to graph schema.
- Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on new and existing data entries, resolving discrepancies and errors.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to understand data requirements and improve graph capabilities.
- Develop and maintain scripts or tools for automated data ingestion, validation, and monitoring.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality processes and methodologies.
- Research and analyze complex data relationships and entities to enrich the Knowledge Graph.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and manipulation techniques.
- Strong command of SQL for querying and managing relational databases.
- Experience with scripting languages like Python for data processing.
- Understanding of graph databases, ontologies, or semantic web technologies (e.g., RDF, SPARQL).
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for a remote team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure data services.
- Experience with large-scale data sets and distributed computing environments.
- Prior experience working with knowledge graphs or semantic data models.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application to data enrichment.
