Job Description
Bay Federal Credit Union is seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Member Experience Agent to join our team in Salinas, CA. This is an immediate hire opportunity for individuals passionate about delivering outstanding service and building strong member relationships. As a Member Experience Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our valued members, providing comprehensive support, addressing inquiries, and ensuring a positive and efficient banking experience. You will handle transactions, resolve issues, and educate members on our products and services. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for members, providing friendly, professional, and efficient service in person and over the phone.
- Process a variety of member transactions accurately, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and transfers.
- Assist members with account inquiries, statement reviews, and online banking support.
- Identify member needs and cross-sell appropriate credit union products and services to enhance their financial well-being.
- Resolve member complaints and issues promptly and effectively, escalating when necessary.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of all credit union products, services, policies, and procedures.
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance requirements and internal security protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a cohesive and supportive branch environment.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a financial or retail environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build rapport and trust.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a credit union or banking institution.
- Bilingual proficiency (English/Spanish) is a significant plus.
- Associate's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
