Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pitting & Pipeline Repair Crew member with a strong maintenance focus to join our team in Huntington Beach, CA. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of pipeline infrastructure, ensuring the safe and efficient transport of various products. This is a hands-on position requiring a commitment to safety, teamwork, and precision in execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in pipeline integrity, corrosion control, and repair techniques, contributing directly to our operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of pipelines for signs of pitting, corrosion, and other damage.
- Perform repairs on pipelines, including welding, patching, and applying protective coatings, following established safety protocols and engineering standards.
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and replacement of pipeline sections and components.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment used in pipeline repair and maintenance.
- Respond to emergency repair situations efficiently and effectively.
- Document all inspection findings, repair activities, and maintenance logs accurately.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in pipeline maintenance, repair, or construction.
- Proficiency in welding (e.g., pipe welding, stick, TIG) and cutting techniques.
- Knowledge of corrosion control methods and protective coating applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and procedures (e.g., confined space, hot work).
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions and demanding environments.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Nondestructive Testing (NDT) methods (e.g., UT, PT, MT).
- Vocational training or technical degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with pipeline pigging operations.
- HAZWOPER certification.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
