Job Description
As a Policy Professional at Deloitte, you will play a crucial role in analyzing, developing, and advocating for public policy positions that align with our strategic objectives and client needs. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to engage with complex policy issues across various sectors, providing valuable insights and recommendations to internal teams and external stakeholders. You will contribute to thought leadership, monitor legislative and regulatory developments, and collaborate with experts to shape impactful policy outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of public policy issues, legislative proposals, and regulatory changes impacting the firm and its clients.
- Develop and articulate clear, concise policy positions and recommendations for internal and external audiences.
- Monitor legislative, regulatory, and political developments at federal, state, and local levels across the USA.
- Prepare policy briefs, presentations, and reports for senior leadership and client engagements.
- Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, legal counsel, and business leaders to integrate policy considerations into strategic planning.
- Represent the firm in various forums, engaging with policymakers, industry associations, and advocacy groups as needed.
- Support the development and implementation of public affairs strategies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to distill complex information into actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated understanding of the legislative and regulatory process in the United States.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Proficiency in policy analysis tools and databases.
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, Law, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Juris Doctor (JD) degree in a relevant field.
- Experience working on Capitol Hill, in a state legislature, federal agency, or a public policy-focused organization.
- Familiarity with specific policy areas relevant to Deloitte's service lines (e.g., technology, healthcare, financial services).
- Experience in a consulting environment.
