Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Catering Director to lead our catering operations in Plano, Texas. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of event planning, sales, and execution to ensure outstanding client satisfaction and achieve revenue targets. The Catering Director will be responsible for building strong client relationships, developing innovative catering solutions, and leading a high-performing team. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic catering sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals.
  • Manage all aspects of catering events from initial inquiry to flawless execution, including menu planning, vendor coordination, and logistical arrangements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the catering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders (BEOs) accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay competitive within the local market.
  • Collaborate closely with culinary, banquet, and sales teams to ensure seamless event coordination.
  • Manage departmental budget, control costs, and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote catering services.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in catering sales and operations, preferably within a hotel or large-scale event venue.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Proficiency in catering software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
