Job Description
Join Walgreens as a Pharmacy Technician on our casual weekend roster in Louisville, KY. This part-time role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible weekend hours and offers an attractive weekly bonus structure. As a vital member of our pharmacy team, you will assist pharmacists in dispensing medication, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining an organized and efficient pharmacy environment. Key Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, including data entry, labeling, and dispensing.
- Assist patients with prescription pick-ups, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and rotating medications.
- Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workstation and overall environment.
- Handle cash register transactions and assist with insurance claims processing.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Support pharmacists in various tasks to ensure smooth and safe pharmacy operations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification in Kentucky (or ability to obtain upon hire).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale software.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, especially for weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail pharmacy setting (6+ months).
- Experience with Walgreens pharmacy systems (e.g., RxConnect).
- Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
