Job Description
As a Pharmaceutical Warehouse Hand specializing in Temperature Controlled environments at McKesson in Richland, Washington, you will be a crucial part of our supply chain team. You will be responsible for the accurate and efficient handling, storage, and distribution of temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines and internal quality standards. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, climate-controlled setting. You will operate various warehouse equipment, perform inventory checks, and maintain detailed records, contributing directly to the health and well-being of countless patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, inspect, and store temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products in designated climate-controlled areas.
- Monitor and record temperature logs for storage units and outgoing shipments to ensure product integrity.
- Pick, pack, and prepare pharmaceutical orders for shipment, verifying accuracy against order forms.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (certification or ability to obtain required).
- Perform routine inventory counts and assist with discrepancy resolution.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Adhere strictly to Good Distribution Practices (GDP) and other relevant regulatory guidelines for pharmaceutical handling.
- Report any equipment malfunctions, product damage, or temperature excursions immediately to management.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals and maintain high productivity levels.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions in English.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry and system navigation.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all workplace procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment, particularly with temperature-controlled goods.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) with valid certification.
- Familiarity with Good Distribution Practices (GDP) or other pharmaceutical handling regulations.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
