Job Description

As a WFH Office Setup Aide, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our remote employees have optimal and ergonomically sound home office environments. This is a 100% remote position where you will coordinate the delivery, setup, and basic troubleshooting of office equipment and technology, empowering our team members to work efficiently and comfortably from their homes. You will be the first point of contact for new remote hires or those requiring office upgrades, guiding them through the setup process and providing initial technical assistance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of office equipment (desks, chairs, monitors, peripherals) to remote employees' homes.
  • Provide virtual guidance and support for the physical setup and installation of home office equipment.
  • Assist employees with basic technical configurations, including connecting monitors, setting up webcams, and ensuring network connectivity for company devices.
  • Conduct virtual ergonomic assessments and advise employees on best practices for a healthy and productive workspace.
  • Maintain an inventory of remote office equipment and track asset deployment.
  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues related to hardware setup and connectivity, escalating complex problems to IT support as needed.
  • Develop and update user-friendly guides and checklists for home office setup and maintenance.

Required Skills

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and peripherals (e.g., monitors, keyboards, mice, webcams).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
  • Comfortable using video conferencing tools for virtual assistance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in IT support, help desk, or office administration.
  • Familiarity with remote collaboration tools and virtual desktop environments.
  • Knowledge of ergonomic principles for office setup.
