Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine chemical analyses and experiments under supervision, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Record, organize, and interpret experimental data accurately and meticulously.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Assist senior chemists in the preparation of samples, reagents, and solutions.
- Learn and apply new analytical techniques and instrumentation as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes and procedures.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to foster professional development.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- Strong foundational knowledge of general chemistry principles and laboratory practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or academic project experience in a laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with common analytical instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis).
- Basic understanding of quality control and assurance principles.
- Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS).
