Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a dedicated and reliable Logistics Dockhand to join our dynamic team in Dublin, OH. This full-time position is crucial to our warehousing and distribution operations, focusing on the efficient movement of goods within our facility. We are specifically looking for individuals available for night shifts, and we offer competitive shift differentials to compensate for your commitment during these hours. Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload freight manually or with material handling equipment, ensuring proper handling and care.
  • Sort, stack, and move products and materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify product counts, compare with shipping manifests, and report any discrepancies.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently (training provided if needed).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Perform routine quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet operational goals.
  • Work night shifts, as required by operational needs, benefiting from additional shift differentials.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality for assigned shifts.
  • Basic communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating similar material handling equipment.
