Job Description
Are you a compassionate individual looking to start a rewarding career in healthcare? AccentCare is seeking dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential care and support to clients in their homes throughout the New Port Richey area. This is an entry-level opportunity for motivated individuals with a High School Diploma or GED who are eager to learn and make a positive impact. As a Home Health Aide, you will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being while promoting independence. We offer comprehensive training and a supportive environment to help you succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Provide light housekeeping duties, such as tidying living areas and laundry.
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Remind clients to take medications as prescribed (non-administration tasks).
- Monitor and report changes in client's condition or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Engage clients in conversation, companionship, and recreational activities.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for clients.
- Document services provided accurately and timely according to agency policies.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Proof of auto insurance
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in caregiving (personal or professional)
- CPR and First Aid certification
