Job Description
Music & Arts is seeking a passionate and dedicated Violin Teacher with a strong classical focus to join our professional team in Irving, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to nurture talent, develop musical skills, and inspire students of all ages and levels in a supportive and state-of-the-art learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of classical violin repertoire, pedagogy, and performance techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, individualized violin instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels, with a primary emphasis on classical technique and repertoire.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to student needs and goals, fostering musical growth and passion.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
- Prepare students for recitals, auditions, competitions, and examinations as appropriate.
- Maintain a professional and organized teaching studio, including scheduling lessons and communicating effectively with students and their families.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative learning environment within the academy.
- Stay current with violin pedagogy, classical repertoire, and industry best practices.
Required Skills
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance, Music Education, or a related field with a violin concentration.
- Proven expertise in classical violin performance and pedagogy.
- At least 3 years of experience teaching violin to diverse age groups and skill levels.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students while maintaining a professional and supportive demeanor.
- Proficiency in music theory, sight-reading, and ear training.
- Strong commitment to student success and musical excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Violin Performance or Music Education.
- Experience preparing students for auditions, youth orchestras, or college entrance examinations.
- Familiarity with various teaching methodologies (e.g., Suzuki, traditional).
- Active performance career or regular performance engagements.
- Ability to teach other string instruments (viola, cello) at a foundational level.
