Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Retail Pharmacy Aide to join our team for part-time afternoon shifts. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals eager to support a fast-paced pharmacy environment, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. As a Pharmacy Aide, you will assist pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with non-clinical tasks, helping to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient pharmacy that prioritizes patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with general inquiries, directing them to the appropriate pharmacy staff when necessary.
- Process prescription drop-offs and pick-ups, ensuring all patient information is accurately captured and verified.
- Organize and maintain pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, rotating stock, and identifying expired medications.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy area, including workspaces, waiting areas, and consultation rooms.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, record-keeping, and answering telephones.
- Handle basic point-of-sale transactions and manage cash register operations.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA guidelines for patient privacy.
