Job Description

You’ll be responsible for safely transporting goods across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) over long distances.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers.
- Transport goods without manual loading or unloading, adhering to 'no-touch freight' policy.
- Manage and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELDs) and necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding schedule delays or issues.
- Ensure timely and secure delivery of freight to various destinations.
- Represent XPO Logistics professionally to clients and the public.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Minimum of 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service (HOS).
- Strong commitment to safety and professional driving practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Familiarity with various freight types and handling procedures.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
