Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Holistic Nurse Practitioner to join our innovative Integrative Health Center. This role involves providing comprehensive, patient-centered care that integrates conventional medical treatments with holistic and complementary therapies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of wellness, preventive care, and a passion for empowering patients to achieve optimal health through mind, body, and spirit approaches. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized care plans and educate patients on lifestyle modifications, nutrition, stress management, and other integrative health modalities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including physical exams, medical history, and lifestyle evaluations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions within the scope of practice, integrating conventional and holistic approaches.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that incorporate integrative therapies such as nutritional counseling, herbal medicine, mindfulness, and stress reduction techniques.
- Prescribe medications, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and make referrals to specialists as appropriate.
- Provide patient education on health promotion, disease prevention, and self-care strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nutritionists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in integrative and holistic health practices.
- Advocate for patients, promoting their autonomy and active participation in their health decisions.
Required Skills
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire.
- Current, unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in New Hampshire.
- Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (e.g., FNP, ANP, WHNP).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
- Strong knowledge and passion for holistic and integrative health principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Holistic Nursing, Functional Medicine, or a related integrative health specialty.
- Experience with various complementary therapies (e.g., acupuncture, aromatherapy, therapeutic massage, yoga).
- Experience in a primary care or specialty setting focusing on chronic disease management or wellness.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
