Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Inquiry Evaluator with a strong focus on compliance to join our remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing, analyzing, and responding to legal inquiries from various regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and internal stakeholders. Your expertise will ensure that UPS maintains strict adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, safeguarding the company’s interests and upholding our commitment to ethical practices. This position operates 100% remotely, providing flexibility while demanding high levels of self-motivation and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and evaluate legal inquiries, subpoenas, and discovery requests from legal authorities.
  • Conduct thorough research and data collection across various internal systems to gather responsive information.
  • Ensure all responses are timely, accurate, complete, and compliant with relevant legal statutes and company policies.
  • Liaise with internal legal counsel, compliance officers, and other departments to clarify requests and formulate appropriate responses.
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation of all inquiries and responses in a centralized tracking system.
  • Identify potential compliance risks and escalate complex legal matters to senior legal team members.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance processes and documentation standards.
  • Stay informed about relevant legal and regulatory changes impacting logistics and corporate compliance.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or paralegal role, preferably within a corporate environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal processes, regulatory compliance, and data privacy principles.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills for reviewing complex legal documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for drafting clear and concise responses.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research databases.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Experience with compliance software or legal case management systems.
  • Familiarity with logistics or transportation industry regulations.
