Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and physically capable Furniture Warehouse Handlers to join our team in New Port Richey, FL. This role is crucial for the efficient movement and organization of furniture within our distribution center. You will primarily work as part of a 2-person lift team, safely handling and transporting large and heavy furniture items. This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety. Key Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently load and unload furniture from trucks and containers, primarily as part of a 2-person lift team.
  • Move furniture to designated storage areas using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Verify product counts and check for damage, reporting discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
  • Organize and maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle checks as needed.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, especially regarding heavy lifting and equipment operation.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and potentially forklifts (if certified and required).

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy furniture items (up to 75 lbs regularly) as part of a 2-person team.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Basic understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse or physically demanding role.
  • Experience with 2-person lift techniques or heavy object handling.
  • Forklift certification (not required, but a plus).
  • High school diploma or GED.
