Job Description

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will provide essential support and companionship to seniors, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Help with light household tasks such as meal preparation, tidying up, and laundry.
- Remind clients to take medications and assist with mobility.
- Plan and accompany clients on outings, appointments, and errands.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for clients.
- Document care services provided accurately and timely.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- A genuine desire to help and care for others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for client visits).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous volunteer experience in a care-giving role.
- CPR and First Aid certification (training can be provided).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Experience with basic meal preparation and household management.
