Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Think Tank Support professional to join one of our dynamic research centers. This role is crucial in providing comprehensive administrative and operational assistance to researchers, analysts, and leadership within our policy and research initiatives. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced academic research environment. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful research that informs public discourse and policy.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to senior researchers and program managers, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and preparing presentations.
- Coordinate logistics for events, workshops, seminars, and conferences, both virtual and in-person.
- Assist with research activities, including data collection, literature reviews, and formatting reports under supervision.
- Manage and organize project documentation, files, and databases.
- Handle budget tracking and expense reporting for various projects.
- Facilitate internal and external communications, serving as a primary point of contact for inquiries.
- Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
- Onboard new team members and assist with administrative aspects of grants and contracts.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving aptitude.
- Experience in an administrative support role, preferably in an academic or research setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Public Policy, Social Sciences).
- Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello).
- Experience with event planning and coordination.
- Knowledge of university administrative systems and procedures.
