Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Source Credibility Evaluator to join our AI Content Integrity team. In this hybrid role based in Schaumburg, IL, you will play a critical part in assessing the credibility and trustworthiness of various information sources, particularly as they relate to AI-generated or AI-curated content. Your expertise will directly contribute to enhancing the quality, safety, and reliability of information presented across Google’s products and services. You will analyze complex information landscapes, apply critical thinking, and provide actionable feedback to improve our AI models and content policies. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of information integrity in the digital age.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of diverse information sources for credibility, accuracy, and bias.
  • Analyze AI-generated or AI-curated content for factual correctness, coherence, and adherence to ethical guidelines.
  • Provide detailed, constructive feedback and data annotations to improve AI models and content integrity systems.
  • Identify emerging trends in misinformation, disinformation, and content manipulation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, policy, and research teams to refine evaluation methodologies and content policies.
  • Stay informed about global news, current events, and advancements in AI technology and content generation.
  • Document findings and contribute to ongoing training materials for AI content evaluation.

Required Skills

  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to research and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Proficiency in identifying credible sources and recognizing various forms of bias.
  • Strong understanding of current events, global affairs, and digital media landscapes.
  • Experience with content analysis or quality assurance roles.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts, particularly in content generation or information retrieval.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Library Science, Political Science, Linguistics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with large datasets or content moderation platforms.
  • Knowledge of different cultural contexts and their impact on information perception.
  • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Experience in risk assessment or fraud detection.
