Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated WFH Google Admin Lead to manage our Google Workspace environment and lead a remote team of administrators. This critical role involves overseeing the security, efficiency, and continuous improvement of our Google Cloud services, ensuring seamless operation for our global remote workforce. You will be responsible for defining best practices, implementing new features, and providing advanced support, all while fostering a collaborative and high-performing remote team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of remote Google Workspace administrators, ensuring high performance and continuous professional development.
  • Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of Google Workspace services (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet, Chat, Vault, etc.).
  • Develop and enforce Google Workspace security policies, including data loss prevention (DLP), access controls, and user authentication.
  • Manage user accounts, groups, organizational units, and directory synchronization.
  • Monitor Google Workspace performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions.
  • Plan and execute Google Workspace migrations, upgrades, and new feature rollouts.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for Google Workspace configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Provide expert-level support and guidance to end-users and IT support staff on Google Workspace related queries and incidents.

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Google Workspace administration, including experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate a remote team.
  • Expertise in Google Workspace security best practices and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Strong understanding of identity management (SSO, SAML, OAuth) and directory services.
  • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Google Apps Script, Python) for automation and reporting.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with change management and user training related to Google Workspace deployments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Workspace Administrator certification (Professional Collaboration Engineer).
  • Experience with third-party Google Workspace tools and integrations.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
