Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and dedicated Night Guest Service Assistant to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn Winchester. This pivotal role ensures the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of our guests during the overnight hours. Working a unique ‘4 days on, 4 days off’ schedule with 12-hour shifts, you will be responsible for all front desk operations, guest services, and security tasks from evening until morning. If you possess excellent customer service skills, a calm demeanor, and the ability to work independently, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently during night hours.
- Handle all guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Conduct security walks and monitor CCTV to ensure the safety and security of guests and hotel property.
- Perform night audit procedures, reconcile daily transactions, and prepare reports.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist guests with any urgent needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby areas.
- Prepare complimentary breakfast items and set up for morning service as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all hotel policies and brand standards.
Required Skills
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Proficiency in basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a calm approach under pressure.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hotel front desk or guest service role, particularly overnight shifts.
- Knowledge of property management systems (PMS), preferably OnQ.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Experience with night audit procedures.
