Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinery Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in Langford, British Columbia. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of our advanced machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of machinery maintenance, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs. Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for all machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and provide expert guidance for repair.
- Oversee the repair and overhaul of various industrial machinery, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Manage maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and procurement processes.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize machinery performance and reduce operational disruptions.
- Conduct regular inspections and performance evaluations of machinery to identify potential issues.
- Prepare detailed maintenance reports and records.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in machinery maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in reading technical blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade certification or diploma in a relevant technical field (e.g., Industrial Mechanic, Millwright, Electrical).
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Certification in project management.
- Familiarity with Canadian safety standards and regulations.
