Job Description
Are you passionate about video games and have a keen eye for detail? Electronic Arts is seeking a dedicated Playtester to join our team in Southside, Jacksonville, FL. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a crucial part in the quality assurance process for our upcoming titles. You will be responsible for rigorously testing games, identifying bugs, providing constructive feedback, and ensuring a high-quality player experience. Key Responsibilities
- Execute comprehensive test plans and checklists across various game features and platforms.
- Rigorously identify, reproduce, and accurately document software defects and glitches.
- Provide clear, concise, and actionable feedback on gameplay mechanics, user interface, and overall player experience.
- Collaborate effectively with development teams, designers, and fellow QA testers to improve game quality.
- Maintain detailed daily test logs and progress reports.
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure issue resolution.
- Adhere strictly to project timelines and QA testing methodologies.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot subtle inconsistencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear bug reporting and feedback.
- Profound passion for video games across multiple genres and platforms.
- Ability to follow complex instructions and test cases accurately.
- Basic proficiency with PC operating systems and general computer usage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Playtesting role.
- Familiarity with various gaming platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Experience with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Understanding of the game development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
