Job Description
As a Research Specialist at Nielsen, you will play a crucial role in delivering actionable insights to our clients. You will be responsible for supporting the design, execution, and analysis of various research projects, ensuring data quality and contributing to compelling client presentations. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of working from home 2 days a week, allowing for a balanced work-life approach while fostering strong team collaboration in our Wesley Chapel office.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of research methodologies, questionnaires, and data collection instruments.
- Conduct thorough data analysis using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) to identify trends, patterns, and key insights.
- Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data throughout the research lifecycle.
- Collaborate with senior researchers and client service teams to translate research findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging research techniques, and data visualization best practices.
- Participate in client meetings and workshops to present findings and gather feedback.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in market research, data analysis, or a related field (minimum 3 years).
- Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and quality.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related quantitative field.
- Experience with survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Understanding of consumer behavior and media landscape.
