Job Description
As a FedEx Fulfillment Tech, you will play a crucial role in our automated warehouse environment. You will work hands-on with cutting-edge robotic systems and user-friendly iPad devices to efficiently pick, sort, and prepare packages for shipment. This role requires individuals who are comfortable with technology, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced, high-tech operation. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor robotic systems for package picking, sorting, and movement.
- Utilize iPad interfaces and proprietary software to manage inventory, track orders, and process shipments.
- Perform accurate and efficient picking of items from designated locations using automated guidance.
- Conduct quality checks on packages to ensure they meet FedEx standards before dispatch.
- Troubleshoot minor operational issues with robotic equipment and report complex problems to maintenance staff.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with all safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and achieve daily operational goals.
- Assist in the training of new team members on robotic and iPad system operation.
Required Skills
- Comfortable working with technology, including tablets (iPads) and automated systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry packages up to 50 lbs regularly.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or fulfillment role.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- High school diploma or GED.
