Job Description

Sheridan Nurseries is seeking a dedicated Nursery Potting Assistant for a sit-down position at our Hamilton location. This role is ideal for individuals of all ages and abilities who possess an eye for detail and a steady hand. You will play a vital part in preparing our plants for sale, ensuring they are perfectly potted and ready for our customers. This is a light, repetitive task that is performed in a comfortable, supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Carefully pot various plant species into appropriate containers while seated.
- Attach labels accurately to potted plants.
- Organize newly potted plants on benches or trays for further processing.
- Perform quality checks on plants to ensure they meet Sheridan Nurseries' standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized personal workspace.
- Assist with other light, related nursery tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision.
- Good manual dexterity (light).
