Job Description
Are you passionate about fitness and eager to start a career in the health and wellness industry? GoodLife Fitness is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Personal Trainer Assistant to join our team in Markham, Ontario. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals looking to gain valuable experience, learn from certified professionals, and contribute to a positive fitness environment. No prior experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided to help you succeed. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Personal Trainers, ensuring smooth operations, and enhancing the member experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Certified Personal Trainers with session set-up and breakdown of equipment.
- Ensure training areas are clean, organized, and ready for client sessions.
- Support trainers during client workouts by providing equipment, spotting, and motivational encouragement as directed.
- Learn and understand various exercise techniques, equipment usage, and client communication strategies.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all members and clients.
- Help manage gym floor flow and assist members with general inquiries.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance your fitness knowledge and skills.
- Perform light administrative duties as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for health and fitness.

- Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the fitness industry.
- Basic understanding of gym etiquette and safety (training will cover specifics).

- Previous customer service experience in any industry.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Enthusiasm for helping others achieve their fitness goals.
