Job Description

We are seeking a vibrant and enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team at our Wilkes-Barre facility. This entry-level, full-time position is perfect for someone passionate about enriching the lives of seniors through engaging activities and meaningful social interaction. As an Activities Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, and leading a diverse range of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities tailored to the interests and needs of our residents. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive training and support to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and lead a variety of daily recreational and therapeutic activities for residents, including group events, individual one-on-one sessions, and special events.
  • Encourage resident participation in activities, adapting programs to suit various cognitive and physical abilities.
  • Assist with setting up and cleaning up activity areas, ensuring a safe and engaging environment.
  • Document resident participation and responses to activities.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to integrate activity programs with other care plans.
  • Maintain activity supplies and equipment, notifying supervisors of any needs or repairs.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and stimulating atmosphere for all residents.
  • Support residents during outings and community events as required.
