Job Description

We are seeking empathetic and observant individuals to join our team as Hospital Sitters in Aurora, Illinois. In this vital non-clinical role, you will provide constant supervision and companionship to patients requiring close observation, ensuring their safety and comfort. This position is perfect for those who are patient, reliable, and wish to contribute meaningfully to patient care in a low-stress environment. No medical experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide continuous, direct observation of assigned patients to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Promptly report any changes in patient behavior, condition, or safety concerns to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a calm, supportive, and safe environment for the patient.
  • Engage patients in non-medical conversation or activities as appropriate to provide companionship.
  • Document observations as required by hospital policy.
  • Assist patients with non-medical needs such as calling for nursing assistance or providing comfort items within your scope of practice.
