Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Local P&D (Pickup and Delivery) Driver for our LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) operations in Pasco, WA. This is a full-time position offering a stable fleet, consistent work, and comprehensive benefits designed to support your well-being. You will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight, providing exceptional customer service, and adhering to all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently to pick up and deliver LTL freight.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Load and unload freight using material handling equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) or by hand.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring accurate and timely deliveries and pickups.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including bills of lading, freight manifests, and daily logs, accurately and legibly.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and work area.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable commercial driving experience
- Hazmat (H) and Tanker (N) endorsements, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Ability to lift, push, and pull freight weighing up to 75 pounds
- Proficient in operating various material handling equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in LTL freight transportation
- Forklift certification
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Familiarity with the Pasco and surrounding geographical area
