Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Wall Mounting Specialist to join our Canadian Tire Home Services team in North York, Toronto. In this role, you will be responsible for the precise and secure installation of a variety of items, including pictures, mirrors, shelving units, and other wall-mounted decor in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, a strong eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring client satisfaction through safe and aesthetically pleasing installations. You will work independently and as part of a team, managing your schedule and client interactions professionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and accurately mount various items such as pictures, mirrors, artwork, shelving, and TV mounts on diverse wall materials (drywall, plaster, brick, concrete).
- Utilize appropriate tools and hardware for each specific mounting task, ensuring secure and level installations.
- Assess wall integrity and recommend suitable mounting solutions to clients.
- Provide expert advice on placement, height, and arrangement of items for optimal aesthetic appeal.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, minimizing disruption to client's property.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Manage and organize personal toolkit and company-provided equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards during installations.
- Accurately complete service reports and documentation for each job.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in wall mounting or a related handyman service role.
- Proficiency with various hand and power tools (drills, stud finders, levels, laser levels, etc.).
- Strong understanding of different wall types and appropriate mounting techniques.
- Excellent spatial reasoning and an eye for aesthetics and symmetry.
- Ability to read and interpret mounting instructions and blueprints.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and equipment as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification or vocational training in carpentry, handyman services, or a related field.
- Experience with smart home device installations (e.g., smart thermostats, video doorbells).
- Previous experience working for a home services or installation company.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
