Job Description
Join the EA Sports team as a Digital Sorter with a focus on Metadata and Uploading. This role is crucial for ensuring our digital assets are meticulously organized, accurately cataloged, and efficiently uploaded to various platforms. You will work with a wide range of sports-related digital content, including images, videos, audio, and game assets, applying precise metadata and adhering to strict naming conventions. Your attention to detail will directly impact content discoverability and accessibility for our development and marketing teams. This is an on-site position in our Katy office, where you will be an integral part of our digital asset management workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Sort, organize, and categorize a high volume of digital assets (images, videos, audio, documents) related to EA Sports titles.
- Apply detailed and accurate metadata to all digital content, ensuring consistency and adherence to established guidelines.
- Upload assets to internal digital asset management (DAM) systems, content delivery networks (CDNs), and other designated platforms.
- Perform quality control checks on uploaded content and metadata to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Maintain strict file naming conventions and folder structures.
- Collaborate with content creators, producers, and marketing teams to understand asset requirements and timelines.
- Assist in the migration and archiving of older digital assets as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic uploading and metadata issues.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with digital asset management (DAM) systems or similar content management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of metadata principles and data entry best practices.
- Familiarity with various digital file formats (e.g., JPEG, PNG, MP4, WAV).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Management, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a role involving digital content sorting, cataloging, or archiving.
- Familiarity with EA Sports titles or the gaming industry.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools for metadata application.
- Knowledge of intellectual property rights and digital asset usage.
