Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Limo Compliance Officer with a strong focus on safety and logs to join our team in Bozeman, Montana. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring that all limousine operations adhere to federal, state, and local transportation regulations, as well as company policies. The ideal candidate will manage vehicle logs, driver hour compliance, safety protocols, and conduct regular audits to maintain our high standards of service and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant transportation laws and regulations (DOT, local ordinances, company policies).
- Oversee the meticulous maintenance and auditing of driver logs, ensuring compliance with hours-of-service regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Develop and implement safety training programs for drivers and operational staff.
- Investigate and document any safety incidents or accidents, recommending corrective actions.
- Manage vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance documentation, ensuring all are current and compliant.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in transportation regulations and advise management on necessary adjustments.
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for internal review and external regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with fleet management and human resources on driver qualification and ongoing performance reviews related to safety.
Required Skills
- Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation compliance, safety management, or a similar regulatory role.
- In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state transportation laws applicable to luxury ground transportation.
- Proficiency in managing and auditing driver logs and hours of service.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of training and enforcing policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and compliance software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar safety certification.
- Experience with telematics systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs).
- Familiarity with luxury transportation industry standards and best practices.
