Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Retail Data Analyst to join our innovative AI and Data Science team. This role will be crucial in leveraging vast datasets to inform and optimize our pricing and discount strategies across various retail channels. You will work closely with data scientists, merchandisers, and marketing teams to uncover insights that drive business growth and enhance customer value, specifically focusing on how AI models can best be deployed and refined for these critical areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large retail datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies related to product pricing, promotions, and customer purchasing behavior.
- Support the development and deployment of AI models for dynamic pricing, personalized discounts, and promotional effectiveness.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of pricing and discount strategies, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, and data science teams to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Conduct A/B testing and statistical analysis to assess the impact of pricing and promotional changes.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in retail data analysis, specifically with pricing, promotions, or sales data.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with statistical analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and how they apply to retail pricing and discount optimization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure).
- Previous experience working with large-scale retail datasets or e-commerce platforms.
